Profile Description

Naval Architect having 4+ years’ experience in Marine and Offshore industry with specialization in Structural Designing, Production, Planning and Estimating.

1. HULL ENGINEER (July 2014 to Dec 2016)

Nakilat Keppel Offshore and Marine Limited (NKOM), Qatar.

  • Prepared the check list for all the Structural activities as per the Owner’s specification.
  • Performed Design and Engineering activities of new structures.
  • Performed Shop drawings of major structures in Jack up Rig /Process Platforms using AutoCAD Software and submitted for Owner and Class approval.
  • Interacted with the Owner for all the drawing approvals, engineering dispute resolution and attending to Class comments.
  • Carried-out estimation of materials and man-hours for the next stage of construction and submitted report to the quotation team.
  • Monitored actual man-hours with planned man-hours, and recommended necessary remedial action plans in case of any deviations, Planned and scheduled engineering activities and ensured the jobs are completed at the right time. If any delay in schedule, counter-act plans were prepared in a way that jobs were completed within the time frame.
  • Managed a team of engineers and empowered them with safety, quality, cost and time impact and increased productivity.
  • Maintained documents of all projects and key performance records.

2. ASSISTANT HULL ENGINEER (Aug 2012 to Jun 2014)
Nakilat Keppel Offshore and Marine Limited (NKOM), Qatar.

  • Performed the Steel renewal of Bulbous bow of LNG Carrier, Panama Chokes, Chain Stopper, Bulwark Plate, hatch cover and other outfitting’s items.
  • Assisted the Hull Project Engineer for repair vessels with pre-fabrication of panels, block movement plans, repair drawings, lifting plans, material control and numerical cutting etc.
  • Surveyed with Owner / Class to prepare mark-up drawings for damaged locations in repair vessels / Offshore Structure and to submit As-built drawings / Repair Plan for final dossiers.
  • Developed sequence of construction plans as Detail Assembly Plan (DAP) for guidance of construction workers using AutoCAD software.
